It’s a hot one today in Barcelona – forecasted high was 87 and we were already at 91 by noon! – but we’ve spent the morning hiking Barcelona’s highest point, the Montjuïc Park.

Here’s where we started: the small garden behind our hotel! This is where we get to eat breakfast every morning. Pretty, isn’t it?

Then…the climb began. Montjuïc is a huge park, but because it is so elevated, there is no subway stop there. Up we go!

At least it’s a beautiful climb!

The views of the city are breathtaking!

One of the many sights at the top – this is actually an art museum.

Me. With birds. At the top of Montjuïc. Yes, they’re trained birds. And yes, they’ve been dyed those colors. Still – pretty awesome!
